This mast is visible from miles in every direction, but what's most suprising is that it is in fact twice as high as you'd first think. The base of the mast and equipment rooms are in a deep dip on the top of the mountain!
London Communications have antennas on the main mast. They have a PMR network which describes the site at Hope Mountain as being in Merseyside. Whilst it does serve Merseyside, the site is most definitely in Wales! Frozen food company Iceland has a microwave link from their head office at Deeside Industrial Park to this mast. Also Corus (formerly British Steel) in Shotton has a similar arrangement.
In the background on one of the photos, you can see a privately owned PMR mast operated by DeeComms, Chester.
The DAB coverage area is principally Chester, but it also reaches well into the Wirral and Liverpool itself.

There are spectacular views which give clear line of sight to St John's Beacon (Radio City) and the Liverpool Cathedral.
