Comments: Knucklas is a relay of Ridge Hill (via Garth Hill)

Knucklas transmitting station is located half way up the side of the Teme valley in the very Eastern part of Wales bordering Shropshire. It is about 2 miles North of the picturesque town of Knighton near a small hamlet known as Skyborry Green and the access road is very steep and very twisty.

It was also, as seems normal whenever I get my camera out his year for mb21, bucketing it down!

The target area is the small village of Knucklas itself, and a few other households to the South where the reception of the Garth Hill TX is not possible. (Due to them being in the shadow of... erm... Garth Hill!!)

It's a fairly standard mast with one horizontal log on the parent station, and three others providing transmissions to the target area.

It's a strange one this, because it's listed as a relay of Ridge Hill (via Garth Hill), but the receive log does't seem to be pointing at Garth Hill, which is clearly visible from the site being only 2 miles away, but on a compass bearing of more-or-less due-West. So my conclusions are that it's either very badly aligned, or actually on Blaenplwyf.

Can anyone confirm the parent station?

The relay's target audience is down there somewhere, apparently!
