Comments: Leek is a relay of Sutton Coldfield

During the 1980 franchise rounds, Granada proposed to re-align its territory which would have bought this relay under its control, moves that were met with fierce local resistance.

Today it remains firmly under Sutton Coldfield's dependancy, bringing BBC Midlands and Carlton ITV to the Market town of Leek on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border. Indirectly, it also serves the eastern side of Stoke on Trent.
