Situated at the Northern flank of the Clywdian mountain range, on the edge of a military training area above the town of Caerwys, Moel-y-Parc serves North-East Wales, and, through a multitude of dependent relays, reaches as far south as Llangollen and to Betws-y-Coed in the West.

The site is another in a very high position in relation to the local terrain. Good reception is possible in Cheshire, N.Staffs, and it easily romps across Liverpool bay to much of Merseyside and the Wirral.
