I think the BBC national FM services are from the 'crossbows' half way up the mast. There are 4 panels stacked for the South East direction (to get across Morecambe Bay to Lancaster) and 2 panels for the other directions.

Independent radio is shown as 67.5m AGL for FM and 70m for DAB in the OFCOM spreadsheet, both with 120° maximum beam. Above these there are some other aerials which look like 'slots' with mixed polarisation. I think these could be BBC Radio Cumbria which is shown on an old coverage area map as 78m AGL. Right at the top and quite new, is a stack of DAB dipoles. These must be for the BBC DAB network. |
