Comments: Muldonagh is a relay of Limavady (via Strabane)

I visited this site in Summer 2009 whilst on holiday in Northern Ireland.

Muldonagh is a relay of Limavady, located alongside Muldonagh Road, near Cornamoney in County Londonderry. The mast is a few miles north-east of the Claudy TX. It transmits from four pairs of crossed log periodics.

Reception here appears to rely on a high gain yagi, but if high gain is needed why is it mounted so low down? Perhaps the issue is ghosting rather than field-strength?
