As you can see, this dipole is mounted on a water tower next to a popular park in the Wash Common area of Newbury. The tower is completely surrounded by trees. Peter Bigwood risked the opprobrium of mothers with pushchairs: "they eyed me with suspicion as I darted in and out of the undergrowth with my camera."
