As can be seen the new reserve aerial has had to be mounted below the VHF radio stack and is therefore quite low down. The average height of the old main UHF array is 155m AGL wheras the reserve is at 104m AGL - quite a difference. This is why some viewers are reported to be having problems receiving good signals from the reserve aerial while the DSO work is taking place.
This photo shows the logs which appear to be directed towards Hannington and used as part of the RBL link for Channel 4.
