Comments: Relay of Winter Hill

The NGR given for this site is slightly inaccurate (more like SJ885764) as driving along Withinlee Road by Field Bank Farm (the quoted NGR) showed no signof the transmitter. Returning back along the next road to the south (Chelford Road) eventually revealed the wooden pole in the corner of a field roughly opposite Greenbank Farm.

The houses shown in this last photo probably don't make use of the relay but the centre of the village, in the valley of the River Bollin near the railway station, is screened from Winter Hill.
