RAMPISHAM
The site is located along side the A356 and is quite large - the perimeter is approx 3 miles. This site is similar to those at Orfordness, Sketon and Woofferton. It broadcasts short wave transmissions mainly to Eastern Europe, Africa and the USA. Michael Curtis says: "I tried to count all the masts, but kept losing count! - there are at least 25." |

Rampisham is one of six UK sites
owned by Merlin Communications.
The others are Fareham, London, Orfordness, Skelton,
Warwick and Woofferton.
