Repton is a small relay which serves the village of Repton on the edge of S. Derbyshire. The village is shielded from the main transmitter for the area, Sutton Coldfield, by a bank of hills (which I happen to live on!). The area has always suffered poor reception, and some extremely long aerial poles can still be seen in the village.
There appears to be a variety of places to point your aerial from looking around the village. As the relay is fairly new, there aren't that many aiming for it, however the number is increasing. It seems a lot of people have managed to get a decent Sutton picture using long aerials and multiple boosters, and are happy with this. There are also some VP aerials aiming vaguely NE, but I'm not sure where they are aiming. Perhaps a keen TXer could help out?
The mast also carries Hutchinson 3G (3) and O2 equipment (Mobile phone coverage is also something the area struggles with).
The pictures are fairly distant due to the mast being on private land, along with the fact the farm and stables were both busy with people when I took the pictures. I wandered along a footpath, took the best shots I could and wandered back again!

ATV sent in these photos:

Rob returned to the site in May 2010: Just a few extra shots of the Repton Tx. First shows it in front of the iconic (in the area!) Willington Power Station (now demolished all but the cooling towers). The second shot gives a little more detail on the Tx cardiods
from another angle, and the third is of the tower from over a wheat field. Hopefully these will add a little
to the gallery!
