Comments: Rhayader is a relay of Carmel (via Llandrindod Wells)

Rhayader covers not only Rhayader to the SW (and possibly part of the Elan valley as well) but also northerly to the large village of St. Harmon and other small settlements towards Pant y Dwr.

The site itself sits in a slight saddle at the top of a hill, with the mast poking out: there are not many distant views from the site at ground level as a result.

A larger tower than one might expect for this power: but other users have taken advantage of its location.

The station ID board. Note the expert conversion from a CCI sign to an NGW one, courtesy of sticky-back plastic.

A general view looking north-east. Surrounding trees make getting decent
viewpoints less easy than they might otherwise have been.

This transmision business is all about making electrical power look different.

4 tiers of 2 panel aerials, the left hand set looking north, the right hand set to the south-west.

2 vertically polarised receive logs on the parent station, Llandrindod Wells

A somewhat murky view towards Llandrindod Wells relay, just over 7km away.
