Here are a few pictures of Storeton taken in the middle of November 2003 The Storeton Transmitter is located on top of Storeton Hill in a wood, above the town of Bebington, Wirral. The Transmitter is a relay of Winter Hill for Liverpool across the Mersey from the Wirral Peninsula. The Reflector at the back of the Digital Array blocks the Digital signal to the Heswall and Neston directions where it is possible to receive strong signal from The Wrekin (although they receive the wrong region) this is also the probable reason for the reflector. I use to live a lot closer to the mast than I do now (only about half a mile) I never needed an aerial - I got perfect reception with nothing attached to my TV! |

Paul returned to Storeton in April 2009 to check out the DSO work...
The main aerial panels have been replaced and a whole new set of shrouded logs have been added around the back of them for the services which will be directed towards the N Wales coast after DSO. I wonder if the logs currently used for the interim DTT services will be retained as reserve aerials?
