Comments: Relay of Fremont Point

Torteval, on the SW tip of Guernsey, was the site of the first BBC TV link station for the Channel Islands, picking up either North Hessary Tor or Wenvoe off-air via some sloping wire aerials, selecting the better signal manually and then sending it by microwave to Les Platons on the north coast of Jersey.

The mast appears to be in somebody's garden, hence it was not possible to take any closer.
