Trefilan transmitting station is located atop a hill known locally as Moel-Y-Fran. At 250m it's only about 50m off being a mountain. It provides TV not only to Trefilan, but also up Abermeurig and Felindre as well as to households up and down the Aeron valley, which it overlooks. It does this via 4 pairs of crossed logs vertically polarised at the top of the tower, whilst reception of the parent station by the way of two horizontal log periodics. |
