Comments: Tregynon is a relay of Blaenplwyf (via Llangurig Link and Long Mountain)

Tregynon. A small rural station about 5km north of Newtown, Powys. Although near the top of a hill, it is not particularly easy to photograph since it is constructed up against a belt of trees, which mask proper views.

The station in fact provides coverage to a number of villages: not only Tregynon, but also Bettws Cedewain, and coverage seems to extend at least as far north as New Mills. A fair number of isolated farms and houses also use the relay, since the local valleys are shielded from the more obvious candidates, Long Mountain and Llandinam.

Left: The 4-tier bow-tie cardioid on top, main lobe oriented somewhat north of east showing the 4-way power splitter mounted on rear of tx pole

It's not clear who the other user is at this site but their incoming line termination does not look exactly weatherproof!
