Comments: Treharris is a relay of Wenvoe (via Mynydd Machen)

The Treharris relay is located in the south of the town - an area known as Quakers Yard.

It's a nice, simple 'unfussy' TX that seems to have avoided the usual added GSM ironmongery that so many towers have these days.

The broadcasts are vertically polarised from the UHF cylinder at the top of the tower.

RX of the parent station - Mynydd Machen itself a relay of Wenvoe - is via a vertically polarised trough on the South-Eastern face of the tower. Reception of the parent site must be difficult here to warrant the use of a trough.

The first wide shot shows both the relay and its target area.

This last shot shows the Treharris relay from the Abercynon site.
