Comments: Relay of Mendip

Ubley is situated on top of Breach Hill, to the north of the village of Ubley, between the two large lakes in the basin of the Chew Valley in north Somerset. The valley lies between Dundry Hill to the north and the rest of the Mendip Hills to the south. The bottom of the valley is therefore screened from the main Mendip transmitter which is on the southern edge of the hill range and clearly visible from the site.

The transmitter serves the villages of Ubley itself, Blagdon, Compton Martin and down the valley to the West.

A single RX log periodic points south at Mendip, with transmissions from a stack of four simple vertical dipoles - apparently tilted upwards.
