Comments: Relay of Mendip

This site now has two towers, the smaller one behind the original is a mobile phone tower which takes on an odd appearance as its base is on what looks like a metal shed which houses the equipment for the this transmitter.

Meanwhile, the orginal transmitter has not changed much. TV signals are recieved by a single arial pointing slightly to the East of the Mendip transmitter. The transmitting aerials point at West Lavington, Market Lavington, Easterton area while the others point at the villages of Little Cheveral, Great Cheveral and Erlestoke. Reception of the Mendip Transmitter here is patchy due to near by hills snaking their way around one side of the villages.
