2001

By September 1986, FM radio had been re-engineered for mixed polarisation. Radio 1 was added on 4-Oct-1990, Radio 4 on 4-Mar-1991 and Radio nan Gaidheal on 15-May-2002.

The transmitter is located a few miles south-east of Forfar town centre, and five miles east of Angus.

As indicated by the site-plate, Forfar is also a NGW Maintenance Base (see last photo). The on-site engineers are responsible for maintaining the transmitters at surrounding sites including Angus, Durris & Craigkelly
