DRM test antenna - February 2008

The 855 kHz allocation for BBC R Devon was used for about a year as a DRM test; the main transmission was from the BBC MW Plymouth site, but an additional facility was set up at NHT a few months after the start of the test, and presumably the two transmitters were tested together under SFN conditions.




I bet that black plastic piping came from B&Q.




Onwards and upwards....


Here we are at the top, a few metres above the Princetown UHF VP logs.


The DRM antenna has now been removed, all that's left is the base anchor point.
