Eastwood is a low power (analogue 7.2W, now 2W ERP) site featuring a simple two log RX/TX arrangement. It serves the north side of Eastwood, Nether Green & Lynncroft where Waltham & Sutton Coldfield suffer ghosting.
Originally an IBA landlord site, Eastwood entered service on 13-Oct-1978 as a relay of Sutton Coldfield, with site number 102.26. It was re-attributed to Waltham and renumbered as site 111.05 for the start of the new ITV franchises in January 1982. Channel 4 entered service on 11-Jul-1986. |
