BURGAR HILL

Burgar Hill was built by the IBA to serve about 270 people in an area along Eynhallow Sound on the north-east coast of Mainland, Orkney. It entered service on 16-Aug-1986 transmitting with vertical polarisation only. A horizontally polarised component was added in the mid 1990's. |
Transmit at the top with the Keelylang Hill receive aerial lower on the left of this picture. |
Transmit consists of two tiers of crossed vertically polarised log periodics, with two horizontally polarised logs below. |
