THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY

MINEHEAD NORTH

Photos by Martin Watkins (update via Dan Glover) Page last updated: 2016-09-15

November 2012, updated September 2016

Martin returned to the site in November 2012; the station is back on air as "Breeze" and appears to be in good order from a regulatory point of view.

The site initially seemed largely unchanged in September 2016 however there may have been alterations to the feed arrangements, see below.

This beautiful scene was photographed only AFTER I'd got fairly wet; the route I used involves a ten minute walk from the car.

By September 2016 the various dishes below the transmit array had been removed - leaving what looks very like a UHF log periodic - but a dipole + reflector is now mounted on the adjacent building

No change to the transmit array

This is new? Does this site perhaps relay the Bridgewater transmitter?

The service area: maximum ERP is just west of south (bearing 190)
