Staffin originally had a typical small tin cabin with a lattice pole. This was replaced by a conventional building and new tower in November 2004, to provide accommodation for site sharers

2003: the lightweight "tripod" tower carries just a set of dipoles and a single receive log

2005: a much more substantial and "busier" structure together with a "proper" building

The transmit array is at the very top - the receive log is hidden behind the structure. Bill Wright's photos show the "new" arrangement in more detail
