This site relays national BBC R1-4 FM services from the North Hessary Tor main transmitter to this charming seaside town. The transmitter is sited within the Golf Club car park at Lyme Regis, up on the hill overlooking the town. It entered service in July 1996. The golf club had spaces reserved for the likes of Ladies Captain, Club Treasurer etc, but sadly I couldn't see one marked CCI Engineer!

Below: The panoramic shot of the town was taken from the Cobb (stone breakwater as featured in the film The French Lieutenant's Woman). The transmitter is in the group of trees about one-third in from the left.
