The Thornhill site is at a place called The Mull, high up on the Keir Hills in the Nith Valley. It serves the lower end of the Nith Valley from the village of Thornhill on the A67 towards Dumfries. Originally an IBA landlord site, TV channels 1 - 3 entered service on 26th November 1976, with Channel 4 from February 1984. DSO was on 24th June and 22nd July 2009.
