GRINTON LODGE

| Grinton is at the foot of Layburn Moor, overlooking the village of Reeth, in North Yorkshire. It is adjacent to Grinton Lodge itself which, as you can see, is now a Youth Hostel. Despite being in North Yorkshire it is a relay of Bilsdale and the ITV service therefore carries the programmes of Tyne Tees Television. Grinton Lodge was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service on 5-Aug-1977 to serve 550 people. Channel 4 was added on 2-Jan-1987. DSO was on 12th and 26th September 2012. |
