| As you can see Peter Bigwood was luckier with the weather than I was when I visited the site earlier in the year, and his zoom lens picks out the DAB aerials very clearly. |
| Daventry is a central NGW maintenance depot. The next few photos were taken of the compound at the site. You can see a spare mast with a fibreglass cylinder. It's not often you get a chance of a close look at one of these and it would be interesting to know where it came from. There were also a selection of other arrays... |
| The next two shots are of the site of the old 647kHz (or should I say kc/s) Third Programme Daventry mast between Dodford and Norton -a really charming spot. The base of the mast is marked by the pile of stones. |
