HEOLGERRIG

| Heolgerrig is an area to the West of Merthyr Tydfil, and there are two towers on the top of Aberdare Mountain (Mynnydd Aberdar). We're only interested in one - from where the ILR service on 105.9 MHz, has been broadcast since the 10th August 2005. At first I was a bit perplexed - there seems to be a complete lack of broadcast aerials of any kind - but then I noticed a Band-II yagi pointing South-West into the Aber valley, and what looks like an end-fed dipole on the Merthyr side of the building - could these be the answer? |
