Mangotsfield was built by the BBC for Radio Bristol. Originally on 1546 kHz. 1548 kHz from November 1978. It replaced a temporary transmitter that had been provided at Clevedon. Radio Bristol entered service on 19th March 1976. ILR Bristol (Radio West) launched on 27th October 1981 on 1260 kHz.
