LANGLEY MILL (A)
| Photos by Alan Price | Page last updated: 2016-10-13 |
Langley Mill is (now) sandwiched in between the M6 Toll and the A446. Not much has changed at the broadcast site...or has it?

Looking roughly along the "line of fire" as seen from the A446.

Alan asks: "Are these rectangular objects something to do with the directional array?"

It seems so - there is more information on the page for Saffron Green.

Each mast is fed at the base so there is a group of tuning huts. The lighting columns and curved roof of the M6 Toll booth can be seen in the background

Alan comments "This must be the equipment building for all three of the stations here [including Langley Mill (B)]. I'm interested to know why there are two DAB-like yagis on the side of the building, pointing towards Lichfield. Perhaps a back up using local DAB should an STL fail?"
