| A "drive by" has allowed the location of this new DAB site to be confirmed. Shepshed Nook is listed in the Ofcom DAB Coverage Plan for the Leicestershire multiplex with the NGR SK488190 - however this is in the middle of a field about 400 m from the actual site. The tower is visible from M1 junction 23 but the site is located in woodland just north of the A52. We believe access may be via a private track running next to the highway maintenance depot. A good view is possible from the bridge where the junction 23 roundabout crosses the motorway (there are foot paths on the bridges). Since the Google car last visited the DAB antenna has been added to the tower... |
| The DAB antenna is at the very top of the tower (39 m according to Ofcom). Despite poor weather the new metalwork is obvious. |
