There are three masts on Boars Hill. The centre one has the broadcast aerials. When Roger took these pictures, Jack FM (106.8 MHz), was transmitted from the pair of SIRA aerials on a mast extension at the top (51m), while FM1079 (107.9 MHz) was transmitted from the Shively aerials at 28m. From 2013, Ofcom data shows both services being transmitted from the SIRA's at the top. These look as though they're fed separately.
The site is heavily wooded and the Shively aerials are only just above the tree line, and difficult to spot. |
