The "miniature" nature of this site is quite striking - it's as though everything is at eye-level. Visited early December 2010 a few days after snow, and with plenty of ice still on untreated roads. We have been informed that the new cylinder is in fact a stacked Band IV/V arrangement to allow for the relatively wide range of allocations used. Post-DSO all multiplexes are transmitted from the cylinder.

Someone has been working. What is it (on the left) which doesn't need to be worn here?

Initially it seems nothing has changed.

Band II, Band III, Band IV, Band V, all present and correct. That cylinder is almost glowing in the bright sunshine. I originally thought one of the Band II logs would be on Sutton Coldfield and the other (for BBC C&W) on Meriden - but that doesn't seem to tie in with the way the troughs are aligned.

Compared to Mark Carver's photo from 2009 this looks like it's brand new.
