BUXWORTH

Photos by Alan Price Page last updated: 2017-06-12

May 2017

Buxworth serves the area covered by the Ladder Hill TV relay - places like Whaley Bridge, New Mills and Chinley. It entered service in March 2004, at 170 watts vertical.

We understand that High Peak Radio now uses IP for distribution to all sites - except Buxworth.

An impressive structure!

The transmit and receive aerials are similar to the ones at Glossop and Buxton. The receive aerial points towards High Peak Radio's transmitter/studios in Chapel-en-le-Frith.

The dish also points in the direction of High Peak Radio's studios in Chapel-en-le-Frith. Anybody know what it is for?

Rogue RX aerial? Alan noticed a yagi on the ground near the tx enclosure. The previous photos of this site included a yagi at low-level on the mast so there has been some revision over the years.
