GARELOCHHEAD

You have to go through Garelochhead and follow the sign for Arrochar on B833 road and it bears right, called Whistlefield Road. About half a mile up this hill which is a 15% climb you pass a house on right and the mast can be seen on the right side of the road.

This now shows what the Rosneath HP is for as the Garelochhead logs point south.

Taking these photos of the Garelochhead Mast gave my wife Anne and I something to do on Paisley Fair Monday (public holiday in Renfrewshire) 2nd August 2010. Being a typical public holiday rained in the morning so we went up after lunch.

Garelochhead entered service on the 24th July 1984 providing coverage to about 1600 people.
