GREAT MISSENDEN

New transmit aerial - February 2018

The transmit aerial system was replaced at Great Missenden on the 6th February 2018 in preparation for 700 MHz band clearance. Here the UHF channel allocation is due to change from 49/58/54 to 33/36/48 on the 21st March 2018.

A light dusting of snow in the Chilterns on this sunny February day.

Gone are the curved panels to be replaced by these with a flatter face. Still four tiers with each set pointing roughly west and southeast.

The Crystal Palace receive trough seen through the trees. Would be more difficult to see square on in the summer. It looks very clean. Probably not the original from 1974.

One rather dirty Arqiva sign.
