Voe was built by the BBC to serve about 350 people in Voe and the immediately surrounding area, north to Hamars and south-west to Newhouse. It entered service on 4-Dec-1987. The original structure was a 17m lattice pole, but this was replaced with the square tower seen here, for site sharers, in August 2002.
