DAB added - May 2019

BBC National DAB entered service at Peebles on 27th March 2015.

A band III colinear aerial has been added at the top for DAB transmit. Below is the slant polarised band II folded dipole which transmits ILR and then the UHF transmit panels.

DAB transmit

BBC FM radio transmit comprising six band II log periodics. Two pointing in each direction. They are not equally spaced by 120 degrees around the tower. I recon that the pair on the right point just slightly east of due north.

Those band II logs from a slight different angle.

A new UHF receive panel aerial has been added above the original two receive troughs. This is because of 700 MHz band clearance changes at Selkirk.

The two FM radio receive aerials. The upper horizontal log periodic is for BBC FM radio from Ashkirk, the lower vertical 2½ element Yagi is for ILR from Selkirk.

The site compound with satellite receive dish providing the DAB ETI programme feed.
