THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY
CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH
Photos by Fitz | Page last updated: 2021-03-30 |
Since the sale of High Peak Radio to new owners Helius Media. The studios were surplus to their requirements. The site was used for a short period by the new owners of the station for transmission purposes only. Now that the new transmitter site is live on Quentin Road (45 meters away from the old studios), the old one has been fully closed and handed back to the landlord. A planning application is currently in with the local council to demolish the studios and turn the site into a residential development. The TX antenna seems like a temporary set up, however I may be wrong and this may now be a permanent structure serving Chapel-En-Le-Frith & beyond. |

The bracket seems to be protruding onto the pavement, therefore some pipe insulation and electrical tape has been used to protect members of the public walking past. |
