THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY
TOR SLIASG

I believe that Tor Sliasg was originally a Hyrdo site. The FM radio transmitter was installed in March 1997, with the 102.8MHz frequency shared between Moray Firth Radio and Keith Community Radio (KCR). In July 2014 a second transmitter was added on 107.7 MHz for KCR so that the frequency sharing arrangement could end. |
The original Jaybeam slant polarised dipoles were installed with their dual feeders during a cold winter night. A time before risk assessments when riggers were real men! These antennas were retained initially, with the two new transmitters on reduced power. They were replaced in August 2014 with Sira dipoles allowing the full ERP to be used. |

KCR use a 50MHz link to the site. The receive is a 2 element yagi. |
