PROCTOR HEIGHTS

Photos by Jack Richardson Page last updated: 2021-07-22

May 2021

Procter Heights overlooks a large part of North Yorkshire/Lancashire. Coverage where it's needed is good, in what is quite a hilly area.

The Keighley relay, Skipton UHF, Hunter's Stones, Hameldon Hill and Winter Hill were all visible, as well as Pendle Hill, Ingleborough and Rombalds Moor.

The BT site looks completely empty.

The reserve Rx yagi pointing towards Harlow Hill can be seen above the white dish near the bottom left hand side.

These aerials seemed to be pointing eastwards, towards Silsden and Keighley.

The beam is very directional. Driving back in the Colne/Burnley direction (i.e. behind the beam), the signal was dying on what felt not too far away from the site.

[Ed] Ofcom Tx Parameters has the direction of maximum radiation on a bearing of 30 degrees.
