Went down to Challaborough to investigate any changes as there was reports on Challaborough Bay’s Facebook page that the transmitter had been damaged for some time due to the storm and had finally been repaired. The RX aerial, previously a Televes tri-boom, which had disappeared due to Storm Eunice, has by the look of things been replaced with a log period, maybe this is a temporary repair as the cable has just be brought down from the top to where the aerial currently is. One of the TX aerials looks slightly damaged too, I’ll be back later in the year to see any changes.
It now looks like the RX is aimed more towards Caradon Hill direction rather than Redruth as before |
