I was in the Yorkshire Dales and thought that I would take the opportunity to get some photos of this rather unique rural upland MF Tx.

The transmissions on 936 Khz can be heard clearly for many miles around despite the low ERP of 150W and the hilly terrain. The output audio quality is reasonable albeit slightly distorted. One wonders if an internet programme feed is being used.


Four tiers remain on the mast following the repairs circa 2020. However, the top tier is definitely off-vertical.


This looks like the original fifth tier that snapped off the mast circa 2018. Simply dumped beside one of the cable stays!
