| In 1983 Llangurig was a link site which received Blaenplwyf UHF and re-transmitted at SHF to Long Mountain. For the IBA it was also the start of the SHF ITV and S4C programme feed to North Wales via Long Mountain and Llangollen to Moel-y-Parc. |

| The photo shows the ITV and S4C equipment in an extremely small room. At the far end is a rack containing four sound 7.5mhz modulators generating subcarriers for the video signals. Adjacent to the sound rack are four slimline GTE SHF transmitters. The next rack contained UHF receivers + video and audio switching. The nearest rack (partially obscured) accommodated the control and monitoring equipment which communicated with the IBA control room at St Hilary. |
