| This is very depressing. I have great affection for this site. As an A level student in the late 60's, we were allowed to use the Physics lab for private study at break times. We found some old radio components in a cupboard and cobbled together a simple trf circuit driving a pair of headphones and with a simple indoor aerial easily received the Home service. As I lived only about two miles from the site, I was assured of fade and interference free reception on my Bush transistor radio day or night. I often walked past, as the lane formed part of the route of a summer evening walk. I had hoped to be able to record the actual dismantling work but sadly everything has already been removed. |
