THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY

CERRIGYDRUDION

Photos by Martin Brown Page last updated: 2025-05-19

May 2025

21 years since David Neale visited Cerrigydrudion, however the only major changes to the broadcast aerials are the receive arrangements.

The 4 tier open cardioid transmit aerial remains unchanged.

Likewise the Moel-y-Parc receive log.

However at ground level there is also a single and twin Yagis facing Moel-y-Parc, suggesting that the RBL path may have become troublesome. My guess is that this arrangement may be to alleviate CCI from Storeton (Welsh muxes). From Cerrigydrudion, the difference in pointing angle between Moel-y-Parc and Storeton is only 6 degrees.
