Heathfield - Introduction and site information

The UK broadcasters identified a need for a 100 kW ERP UHF TV station in the East Sussex area at the start of the 1960's. The BBC placed an order with Techwork (Structures) Limited, of Southampton, for the design, supply and erection of the Heathfield transmitter mast in the autumn of 1968.
