| Kent Coast DAB launched in January 2026 from three sites covering the Hythe, Folkestone, Dover, Deal, Thanet areas. Guston has the largest coverage area with 1kW ERP. The other two sites are at Broadstairs and Sene Valley Golf Club (for Folkestone/Dover). |
| In January the DAB antennas were installed on the lower half of the mast because of bad weather and the need to meet an operational deadline. Permission was obtained to move them to the top after some disused antennas were removed. The move happened in July 2026. At the same time other redundant antennas and feeders were removed. Starting from the top, the pair of DAB antennas, KMFM's pair of slant dipoles and much lower down DCR's single dipole. |
| The DAB antennas have to radiate very little signal towards France and also have to protect Southend which required a specially designed antenna system. |
| Other non-broadcast antennas on the structure include microwave link antennas for KMFM, DCR and an ISP, amateur radio and a cross channel ferry company. In this photo the new feeder is being tied in whilst others are removed. |
